Thinking about selling your business?

Find out what it's worth before anyone knows it's for sale. Free, confidential, and from Northeast Ohio brokers who have sold companies of their own.

  • No upfront fees. We're paid at closing. If it doesn't sell, you owe nothing.
  • Your staff and customers won't know. Listings are blind and every buyer signs an NDA first.
  • Own the building? We sell the business and the real estate together, in one closing.
  • Only qualified buyers. Financials are screened before anyone sees your books.

What we're selling right now

Every business is marketed blind, so owners, staff, and customers stay private until a qualified buyer signs an NDA. Three of these owners also own their buildings, about $6 million in real estate that we're selling alongside the business.

What happens after you reach out

Most owners call a year or two before they're ready. That's the right time. It leaves room to fix whatever is holding the price down.

  1. A private conversation

What you want out of a sale and by when. No cost, no commitment, nothing signed.

  2. A real number

We recast your financials the way a buyer's bank will, and give you a price range a lender will actually support.

  3. A plan to sell

If you decide to go ahead, we market it blind, screen buyers, and run negotiation and diligence through closing. Most deals close in six to nine months.

Own the building too? That's where most sales get messy.

Most business brokers can't sell commercial real estate, and most commercial agents don't know how to value a business. When you own the property your company operates from, those are two deals that have to close together or neither one does.

We handle both. Sell the building with the business, or keep it and collect rent from the buyer with a sale-leaseback. Either way, you deal with one team.

Rather see a number first?

Four figures from your tax return give you a ballpark range, using the same earnings method a buyer's lender uses. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

This is a starting point, not an appraisal. The biggest swings come from customer concentration, how much depends on you personally, and whether the last three years trend up.

Common questions

What does it cost to talk to you?

Nothing. The first conversation and the opinion of value are free with no obligation to list. If you do list, we're paid a commission at closing out of the sale proceeds, agreed in writing before anything is marketed. If it doesn't sell, you owe no commission.

Will my employees find out?

Not from us. Your business is advertised without its name or location details, and buyers sign a confidentiality agreement and prove they can afford it before they learn who you are.

Is my business too small to sell?

Probably not. Our current listings range from about $300,000 to $5 million, plus real estate. If a business produces steady cash flow for its owner, there is usually a buyer and an SBA loan that can fund the purchase.

How long does it take?

Most sales close six to nine months after listing. Preparing ahead, by cleaning up the books or reducing how much runs through you, often shortens that and raises the price.

What areas do you cover?

Cleveland, Akron, Lorain, Lake, Medina, Summit, Portage and the rest of Northeast Ohio, plus Florida.
